Is Hushknock free?

Yes. Reminders, the repeating nudges, the phone-style ring, the discreet lock screen, the widget and Live Activity, streaks, notes, 30-day history and CSV export are free, with no limit on the number of medications. Hushknock Pro adds Insights per medication, 12-week history and a one-page doctor report as PDF. Pro is $29.99 per year with a 7-day free trial, $4.99 per month, or $49.99 once for lifetime access. Prices may vary by country.

Does it keep reminding me until I take the pill?

Yes, that is the whole idea. Pick a level per medication or for everything: Gentle sends a reminder and one follow-up 10 minutes later. Persistent knocks at 0, 10, 20 and 30 minutes. Relentless knocks at 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 minutes. Every knock stops the moment you tap Taken.

Does it ring like a phone call?

On the Persistent and Relentless levels you can turn on “Ring like a phone call”. Follow-up knocks then play a 30-second ringtone at your notification volume. The silent switch still mutes it, and the ring stays off during your quiet hours.

Will reminders get through Focus or Do Not Disturb?

Reminders are sent as Time-Sensitive notifications. iOS lets Time-Sensitive notifications through a Focus mode as long as that Focus allows them, which is the default for most Focus modes. Check Settings → Focus on your iPhone if a reminder did not come through.

Does it show my medication names on the lock screen?

No, not unless you turn that on. The lock screen says “Time for your 9:00” with a countdown and a Taken button. The widget shows your next dose without the name. Inside the app everything is clear and named.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no server. Your medications, doses and notes stay on your iPhone. The trade-off is that there is no sync between devices; you can export everything as CSV at any time.

What happens if I take a dose late?

A dose stays open until your next dose of the same medication, so a late evening pill is not marked missed at midnight. When you tap Taken more than an hour after the scheduled time, it is recorded as taken late. Nothing is guessed, and your streak only breaks on a real miss.

Can I snooze a reminder?

Yes. Every reminder has a Snooze button for 10 minutes. When the snooze ends, the knock chain starts again from the beginning.

Can I track medication I take only when needed, like pain relief?

Yes. Add a medication with “As needed, no fixed times” and, if you like, a daily limit. On the Today screen it appears in its own section with a Take now button and “2 of 3 today · last 2:15 PM”. As-needed doses are logged with notes and appear in your history and doctor report. They do not get reminders, because there is no scheduled time.

Which schedules are supported?

Every day, every few days, or specific weekdays, with different amounts for morning and evening if you need them. Plus as-needed medication with an optional daily limit.

What happens when I travel across time zones?

Hushknock follows your phone's clock. When the time zone changes, the Today screen shows a card with two choices: keep the same clock times where you are, or shift the schedule to match home. Your history is kept either way.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Settings → Export history as CSV gives every scheduled dose with its outcome, free. Pro users can also share a one-page doctor report as PDF with on-time, late and missed doses per medication, and their notes if they choose.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone with iOS 17 or later. There is no Android version and no Apple Watch app yet.

Does it sync with Apple Health or track refills?

Not yet. Hushknock does not write to or read from Apple Health, and it does not track refills.

Is Hushknock medical advice?

No. It is a reminder and record-keeping tool. Follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist, and never change a dose because of this app.

How do I cancel Pro or get a refund?

Manage or cancel the subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. “Restore purchases” in Hushknock Settings brings Pro back on a new phone.

Download Hushknock on the App Store Free. iPhone, iOS 17 or later.

Hushknock is a reminder tool, not medical advice. Follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist, and never change a dose because of this app. Notifications depend on your phone's settings; the silent switch mutes the ring.
